Belalack Digger son sets new Victorian Charolais auction record of $17,000

charolais-7The first five sons of Charolais sire Belack Digger averaged $9000 and set a Victorian state breed auction record of $17,000 at the Mt William sale.

Forty of 45 bulls sold for an average of $6250 with the top price was $17,000 for Lot 6 Mt William Kaos who was sired By Blelack Digger out of a Mt William cow.

Kaos was purchased by George Crocombe and Rob and Ange Perkins of Narweena Station Penshurst.

Lot 7 Mt William Karl by Freewheeler (Pinay) was purchased by Silverbre Charolais for $15,000. Lot 2 Mt William Kyote by Blelack Digger sold for $14,000 to Garrison Cattle Feeders.

Lot 1 Mt William Kramer by Palgrove Dover sold for $10,000 also to Garrison Feeders.

The five sons of Blelack Digger sold for an average of $9,000. These were the first of his progeny to be offered in Australia.It is believed the $17,000 top price is a state Charolais auction record for a Charolais bull.

Twenty of 20 PTIC Heifers sold for an average of $2350 with a top of $3000 five times. Ricky Willis, Tarrington purchased 4 heifers and Waterford Charolais took home 3 registered heifers.

The volume buyer was Garrison Cattle Feeders taking home 6 bulls.
