The stud consortium purchased Millah Murrah Klooney K42 for $80,000.

Witherswood Angus, home to Australia’s most expensive Angus bull, has recorded some impressive results at their bull sale, topping at $21,000.

This was Witherswood Angus’ 14th on site auction with 68 lots offered for sale on the day, with five bulls making over $10,000 each and a sale average of $5569.

Witherswood Angus is part of a consortium that is the owner of the Millah Murrah Kingdom K35, purchased for an Australian Angus record of $150,000 in September 2015.

The stud consortium also purchased Millah Murrah Klooney K42 for $80,000, the fifth highest ever recorded for an Australian Angus bull.

Principal John Woodruff, said the sale drew competitive bidding on sought after bulls.

“Both bulls will move the angus breed to a new level in terms of maternal quality and are already working and proving that our purchase price, whilst a record will give us a big return and will continue to improve our herd and those of other breeders looking to invest in their future,” Mr Woodruff said.
