Oakdale Jasmine sashed as supreme champion at Dubbo Show

Screen Shot 2016-05-06 at 7.08.30 AMThe Annual 2016 Dubbo Show  saw 20 Limousin exhibits entered and judged under Mr Terry Williams.

In the Bull section Junior Champion Bull was won by Sheraton Lieutenant The Third, bred by Ben Toll of Sheraton Limousins, Dubbo.

The 13 month old Limousin bull proceeded on to win Grand Champion Limousin Bull. Reserve Champion Junior Bull was won by an 8 month old Limousin bull, Universal L Factor which was bred by Brenden and Gemma Lydford of Universal Limousin’s, Dubbo.

The Junior Female section saw the Junior Champion Limousin Female won by Wyalla Kyna which was bred by The Riley family and owned by Jeremy and Pip Walsh of Ruby Park Limousins, Dubbo. This female was sired by the Proven Manili Fiction F53.

Reserve Junior Champion Limousin Female was another F53 daughter owned by Luke Milson of Dunedoo, Parkvale Lady Lisa.

In the Senior Female Class we saw the biggest class of the day with Oakvale Jasmine and her 4 month old bull calf Ruby Park Lieutenant sashed Senior Champion Limousin Female. She is owned by Jeremy and Pip Walsh of Ruby Park Limousins, Dubbo.

Reserve Senior Champion female was Sheraton Enchante owned by the Loudon Family of Dubbo. The cow’s Bull calf, Loudons Leopold is the 5 month old grandson of Wulfs Excellsior.

Ruby Park Limousins came head to head in the Grand Champion Female Class with Wyalla Kyna Junior Champion and Oakvale Jasmine Senior Champion competing for the title of Grand Champion.

The Grand Champion female was awarded to the Wulfs Warbonnet daughter Oakvale Jasmine on the day.

In the Interbreed judging we Saw Oakvale Jasmine and her bull Calf come up against all the Grand Champion females of the show.

As Llewellyn Angus the judge from South Africa said “This female has tremendous length, softness and milking ability whilst maintaining femminty” Oakdale Jasmine was sashed the Supreme Female of the 2016 Dubbo Show.

In the judging of the Steer Section we saw 20 steers fight it out for the Grand Champion steer. This year the Champion Steer was a purebred Limousin bred by the Kirk Family of Wilworril Limousins and exhibited by St Johns College Dubbo.

The Reserve Champion Steer was taken out by a Limousin x steer prepared by Sheraton Limousins. 3rd Place in then Steer class was awarded to Ruby Park Ned Kelly II owned by Pip and Jeremy Walsh of Ruby Park Limousins, Dubbo.
