There are three Board vacancies this year; Dr Alan Grant, Mr Jeff Odgers and Ms Jan West. All are eligible to seek re-election, however, Dr Grant has indicated his intention to retire from the Board.

“The requirements of the Constitution mean that one of the new Directors must have a milk producer background. Of the two other Directors being sought, one should have proven expertise in research and development, and the other should have proven experience in finance and accounting,” said Chair of Dairy Australia, Geoff Akers.

“The Constitution outlines two paths to election as Director, the first is to be nominated by the Board Selection Committee and the second is to be nominated by at least 100 Group A members,” said Mr Akers.

For those wishing to apply for the research and development, and finance and accounting roles, an executive search firm, Rimfire Resources, has been retained to assist in finding suitable candidates.

Applications for the milk producer vacancy should be sent (mail or email) to Ms Emma Braun, Dairy Australia Board Selection Committee, c/- Dairy Australia, Level 5 IBM Centre, 60 City Road, Southbank, Victoria 3006, ebraun@dairyaustralia.com.au, to be received no later than Wednesday 29 June 2016 at 5.00pm.
