MLA BeefUp Day in Warwick tomorrow

Biosecurity Planning – JBAS (Johne’s Beef Assurance Score) is on the program.

MLA BeefUp Day will be held on July 25 at Warwick, Queensland, to give beef producers tools and information to use in their business to improve productivity and profitability.

The workshop will also provide the:

  • an opportunity to investigate training and learning opportunities available in their region
  • information about research projects and producer demonstration sites that are relevant to their region.

Morning session:

  • Welcome – Andrew Gray (South Qld BRC)
  • ‘Profitable Grazing Systems’ – Jill Alexander, Applied Ag
  • ‘Tough or Tender – how do you know?’ – Hayley Robinson, MSA Operations Manager
  • ‘How is your beef business performing?’ – Alastair Rayner, Principal RaynerAg

Afternoon session:

  • Producers identifying R&D priorities – Barb Bishop, MLA BeefUp Day Coordinator
  • Good pasture from good soil – David Hall, David Hall Consulting
