Merino hoggets on AuctionsPlus were topped by a line of 21 to 22-month-old Oakbank blood breeders from Woodstock On Loddon, VIC.
This mob was scanned in lamb to Oakbank blood Merino rams and sold for $233.
Merino hoggets averaged $140 with a range of $100.50 to $233. 2.5 to 4-year-old Merino ewes this week averaged $143 and saw a range of $77 to $204, while mixed age and proven Merino breeders from 5 years old averaged $129 with a range of $48.50 to a top of $272.
The top price mob was a line of 75kg 3.5 to 6.5-year-old, Glen Emu Stud bred ewes from Deniliquin, NSW, which were scanned in lamb to Poll Merino rams.
Other Merino highlights this week included 7-year-old 69kg scanned in lamb ewes from Moama, NSW which sold for $178. While a line of two-year-old unjoined Merino ewes from Narromine, NSW sold for $122.
Merino wether lambs this week averaged $95 and saw a range between $57 and $140. This top priced mob was a line of 38kg Roseville Park blood Aug/Sept drop lambs with 2’’ skin from Avenel, VIC. Additionally, Merino wether hoggets averaged $101, and sold between $89 to $114.
A smaller offering of First Cross ewes this week failed to waiver buyer interest, however, with ewe lambs averaging strongly at $145.
Ewe lambs attained a top price of $190 for 51kg March/May drop unjoined future breeders. These ewe lambs were out of classed Spicers Run merino ewes by Tattykeel rams.
Ewe lamb prices ranged from $112.50 to $190, while First Cross hoggets averaged $219.50 with a range of $184 to $253.
