The LambEx Young Guns competition is now calling for Round One entries from rising industry leaders aged 40 years and under.
Being involved as a Young Guns finalist at LambEx has proven a worthwhile activity for career development. We asked LambEx 2016 Young Guns finalist Elise Bowen how she found her experience.
“The positive feedback I received from my ewe efficiency project at LambEx2016 really increased my confidence that I have something to offer the industry, and that the work I am doing is important not just to me but to others as well,” she said.
“Networking with industry bodies like Sheep Producers Australia at the conference also led to me being involved in their Sheepmeat Industry Leadership Program last year. Subsequent articles in the media have boosted my profile in industry and helped gain exposure for my growing business.”
