Ben Seaman (Elders) pictured with daughter Abbie, sold XB lambs on behalf of B & E Anderson, Young, to a sale top of $176.

Light store lamb went against the trend lifting up to $5 selling to $114 and heavier trade weights reached $126/head at SELX Yass.

Lamb numbers eased slightly and the quality was mostly plain. Trade and heavy weights were limited and store lambs were best supplied.

Not all the usual buyers were operating in a slightly cheaper market.

Trade lambs eased $2 and the medium and heavy weights sold from $113 to $138/head or 580c/kg cwt. Heavy lambs eased $4 and made from $140 to $168/head. The best of the hoggets reached $137/head.

Mutton numbers declined and quality was mostly plain. Prices eased $4 to $5/head. Medium weights sold from $75 to $114/head.

Heavy crossbreds ranged from $130 to $157/head. Long skinned Merinos reached $160/head. Crossbred wethers topped at $168/head.
