Joined Angus cows from Bingara, NSW, sold for $1840 on AuctionsPlus last week.

Three lines of 6.5 year old cows from Bingara, NSW topped the market for joined cows, fetching a price $1,840 on AuctionsPlus.

These Angus cows offered by ‘HM & JC Munro’ were PTIC to Angus bulls and will make their way to Dalveen in Southern QLD. Joined heifers averaged $1,160 and reached a top price of $1,270 for a line of 23 to 24 month old Angus heifers.

These heifers were offered by ‘KG & KJ Lummis’ from Curban, NSW and will be making their way to Moura in Central QLD, they were PTIC to Angus bulls.

A total of 1,163 joined females were offered, a slight decrease on last week’s numbers. Clearance was limited and an average of $1,184 was achieved.

Cows and Calves were in tight supply this week with a total of 372 offered, with prices ranging from $790 to a high of $1,830, averaging $1,173.

A line of 28 Angus Cows from Holbrook, NSW fetched the top price of $1,830, these cows were 4 years old with CAF by Angus bulls, and will be making their way to Wodonga, VIC.

A total of 5,639 head were offered in the Weaner & Yearling sale this week, with a clearance of 48%. Weaner heifers ranged from $435 or 140c/kg to $815 or 262c/kg, averaging $574.

The top price was reached by a line of 110 Angus Heifers offered by ‘Yammatree Family Trust’ from Cootamundra, NSW.

These heifers were 9 to 11 months old and weighed 310kg, they will be heading to Port Fairy, VIC. Weaner Steers ranged from $475 or 163c/kg to $1,000 or 343c/kg, averaging $777.

A line of 73 Angus steers offered by ‘RA, JE & AP Ross’ reached the top price. These steers were 8 to 10 months old and weighed 291kg, they will be making their way to Lucindale, SA.

A total of 124 head were offered in WA this week with mixed sexed calves, heifers and cows on offer. Cows ranged from $1,284 to $1,344, with the top price going to a line of 11, 6 to 10 year old Angus slaughter cows, offered by ‘BJ & KA Hulcup & Rockbridge Holdings’ from Manjimup.

Heifers ranged from $1,195 to $1,352 with the top price going to a line of Angus Heifers offered by ‘JCC Love Family Trust’ from Northcliffe, these heifers were 30 to 36 months weighing 630kg. Mixed sex calves aged 4 to 5 months reached a price of $624, these were Angus x Fresian calves.

Tasmanian producers offered a total of 187 head, with strong clearances and attractive prices. Two lines of Angus cows offered by ‘Brumar Tolisa’ from Dunorlan sold to $1,150 and will have a long trip ahead of them heading to Southbrook in sunny QLD.

Unweaned stock ranged from $1,010 to $1,110, the top price was fetched by 11 Hereford steers, aged 8 to 9 months weighing 379kg, which will be staying locally in TAS.

Weaned stock ranged from $620 to $960, with the top price going to a line of 8 Charolais Steers, aged 9 to 11 months weighing 295kg, these steers will also remain local in TAS.
