Eclipse Octane Princess 13 tops Sensation Sale at $30,000

Dairy-sale--11Eclipse Holsteins of Richard Hull yet again staged another successful Sensation Sale at the Shepparton Selling Centre.

Sparking lots of interest was lot 1, Eclipse Octane Princess 13 (ET) recently classified VG 88, maximum score for a 1st lactation female with a VG 89 mamma.

This great young cow is the dam of the Worlds highest type sire Eclipse Milio at +4.59, she sold after spirited bidding at $30,000 to Acuity I Cows of Sale, Vic.

Next top lot was the fabulous 2nd calf cow Eclipse Brokaw Silver 2nd, VG 88, bred down from the well known European cow Shottle Silver, she sold for $17,000 to the partnership of Col Cowan of NSW and J & C Gardiner of Avonlea Holsteins, Vic.

This same partnership also selected Eclipse Windbrook Queen 2, VG 88 at $13,000.

Fourth high lot was the VG 88 3 year old Eclipse Atwood S Mae backed by 4 gens of EX cows from the Indianhead Mae family. She sold to R Walmsley of SA at $9,000.

The very smart rising yearling Eclipse Solomon 7 Princess 3 (ET) a maternal sister to the 2018 winning 2 year old at IDW sold at $7,500 to Beth Scott.

A & A Crawford of Nowra, NSW selected the outstanding young cow Eclipse Chip Mae, VG 88 at $6,200. Return buyers to Eclipse were K & H Jones of Foster, included in their selections was Eclipse Atwood Silver, VG 87 at $6,000 and Eclipse Mogul Princess 6, VG 85 at 2 years for $5,500.

Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report buyers were from all parts of Victoria along with SA and NSW.
