The top priced line from Woodstock, NSW are 2.5 years old, weighing 58kgs and in lamb to Poll Merino rams.
Similarly, 2.5 year old Merino ewes weighing 62kgs from Molong, NSW sold for $200.
While the largest line offered, consisting of 612 Merino ewes from Talwood, QLD, returned $145. These ewes are in lamb to White Suffolk rams and range in age from 5 to 6 years, weighing 49kgs.
Scanned Border Leicester/Merino ewes also averaged $144, with prices ranging from $136 to $162. A line of 4 year old ewes from Woodside, VIC achieved the top price, and are in lamb to Ryeland rams.
A small line consisting of 61 first cross ewes weighing 65kgs from Lake Bolac, VIC sold for $140. While scanned 1st cross ewe hoggets made from $180 to $297 to average $222.
A highlight saw 14-15 month old ewes, weighing 62kgs, from Spalding, SA in lamb to White Suffolk rams, return $297.
Prices for non-station mated first cross ewes were strong, from $205 to $212 to average $209.50. Scanned White Dorper ewes sold for $188, for 4 year old ewes, in lamb to White Dorper rams, from Yanco, NSW.
Older Merino wethers remained in limited supply, with a line of rising 4 year old wethers, which had a 0.5” skin and weighing 45kgs, from Bungendore, NSW achieving the top price of $109.
The largest line offered, consisting of 565 wethers, weighing 35kgs and off-shears from Yass, NSW sold for $78.
Meanwhile, a single lot of Merino wether hoggets with a 1.5” skin and weighing 26kgs, from Kapunda, SA sold for $104.50. These hoggets are headed 540km across the border to Hamilton, VIC.
A total of 1250 mixed sex suckers were on offer this week, which made from $76 to $128.50, to average $100.
A line of 30kg, March/April ’18 drop, Poll Dorset/Border Leicester/Merino mixed sex suckers, from Goulburn returned the top price of 428c or $128.50.
While a line of 27kg, March/April ’18 drop, Poll Dorset/Merino mixed sex suckers, from Wyalong sold for 418c or $113. A large line of 700 new season White Suffolk/Merino mixed sex lambs weighing 22kgs, from Peak Hill, NSW returned 415c or $91.50.
