The top price was shared between two lines out of South Australia. The first being a line of Keri Keri blood hoggets out of Parrakie, SA, weighing 60kg with a 1.5” skin, heading to Keith, SA.
The second lot was a line of 105 Kamora park blood ewes from Naturi, SA weighing 56 kgs with a 0.5” skin, heading to Birdwood, SA.
Young and grown merino ewes averaged $157 across the 10,000 head offered. A top price of $227 was found by a line of Hannaton Poll Merino blood ewes from Kaniva, VIC. These girls weigh 60kg, are 15-17 months old, have a 0.5” skin and are staying in Kaniva, VIC.
A total of 18,000 Merino and Poll Merino wethers and wether lambs were offered, down sharply from last weeks numbers.
Merino wether lambs averaged $80, selling from $40 to $108.5. This top price went to a line of store wether lambs from Tintinara, SA. These SWM & Ramsgate blood lambs are 6-7 months old, weigh 37 kg, have a 2” skin and found a buyer in Mount Drummond, SA.
First cross ewe lambs sold from $110 to $255 to average $181. The top price went to a line out of Coonamble, NSW.
These lambs are 60kgs, have a 0.5” skin and are on their way to Bannock, VIC.
First cross ewes with lambs at foot topped out at $305. This went to a line of Hannaton blood ewes & lambs from Noradjuha, VIC.
The ewes are 15-18 months old and found a buyer in Horsham, VIC. To other highlights, where Dohne cross ewes from Milang, SA fetched $186. These ewes are 15-17 months old, hit the scales at 57kg and are heading to Yanac, VIC.
