Processors threw their weight around in the online auctions last week with 2 to 6 year old Merino ewes from Molong, NSW selling for 182c live weight or $100.50.
South Australian sheep also drew interest with April/May drop wether lambs from Keith, SA selling to 303c/$144; and April/May drop wether lambs from Lameroo, SA sold for 285c/$118.
A total of 13,700 Merino wethers and wether lambs were offered online this week, and saw a 93% clearance across the category.
Wether lambs were in high demand, selling from $54 to $136.50 and averaged $92, up $5 on last week.
The top priced mob was a line of 43kg, Lines Gum Hill blood, March/April drop from Coomandook, SA. 42kg April/June drop lambs from Grenfell, NSW also drew interest selling for $117.50.
Other wether highlights included 3 year old woolgrowers from Bookham, NSW selling for $120.50.
First Cross Border Leicester/Merino ewe lamb prices were firm on last week averaging $176, $3 down, selling to a top of $240 for a line of March/April drop 45kg future breeders from Trangie, NSW offered by Auburn Farming.
First Cross hoggets were topped by a line of 14 month old unjoined ewes from Rutherglen, VIC selling for $292.
While 17 to 18 month old hoggets from Euroa, VIC sold for $270. Other Crossbred ewe highlights included 3 year old White Suffolk/Merino ewes from Deniliquin, NSW selling for $180; 4 year old SAMM/Merino ewes from Tocumwal, NSW selling for $182.50.
