Sale top of $7700 at Coldara Holsteins dispersal

Dairy-sale--11Long time Holstein Breeders Graeme and Bev Joiner of Coldara Holsteins at Kyabram recently staged their Complete Dispersal Sale of Spring calved herd following the Dispersal of their Autumn herd earlier this year.

Sale top of $7,700 was paid for Coldara Planet Porscha, this 4 year old had recently classified VG 89, had placed 3rd in the Northern Vic. OFC and had won Supreme Champion Dairy Cow at the Kyabram All Australian Show, she was purchased by S & L Coombes of Attunga, NSW.

These buyers purchased several lots throughout the sale and included the second high seller Coldara Monterey Diety at $4,200.

This top heifer had recently classified VG 85 on her 1st lactation and is backed by a VG 87 Baxter dam from a VG 88 Roy.

Another strong buyer was L Prout of Kerang, his selections included Coldara Monterey Brailly who had placed 4th in the OFC at $3,500, Coldara Bradnick Brolo also at $3,500, she was from a 5th gen EX & VG Shottle dam and Coldara Contrast Brae at $3,400, this heifer had just classified VG 85 and had placed 3rd in the OFC.

Other noted sales included Coldara Jack Lassly, VG 86, she is from a 3rd gen EX dam and sold at $3,000 to S & L Coombes, NSW.

The Somerelle herd of S & N Somerville selected Coldara Teddie Barikka, VG 86 backed by 3 EX dams also at $3,000.
