Rockwood Park Ace Cretonne 2 sells to top of $5500

Indian-dairyA large crowd of Holstein enthusiasts were at the 2nd Stage Dispersal of the Master Breeder Andes Holstein herd of Charles and Carolyn Smith at Saint Germains.

Sale top of $5,500 was paid by the highly successful Luccombe Farms at Finley, NSW for Rockwood Park Ace Cretonne 2, this milking 30 month old heifer was bred down from the Royal Champion Cretonne family.

These same buyers also selected Rockwood Park MVP Kensall a daughter of the high BPI sire MVP and bred down from the Felicity family, she sold at $5,000 being the third high of sale.

Second top lot at $5,200 was Rockwood Park Aftershock Cretonne a daughter of a VG 86 Kendall dam with over 82,000 litres lifetime, she was purchased by the well known Clydevale herd of the Dee family at Cohuna.

Next high lot at $4,200 was paid by NSW breeders S & L Coombes for Andes Pontiac Crescent 2, VG 88, these buyers also selected Andes Glauco Whynot 2 bred down from All Australian and Royal Show Champions at $3,500.

Many breeders were impressed with Andes Golden Licka, VG 87, a 6 year old JZM Goldenboy dtr. bred form a deep USA maternal line, she sold at $4,000 to K Davidson of Finley, NSW.

Also at this price was Rockwood Park Fever Rose bred from the famed Canadian Spring Farm Rosetta’s selling to C & F Bills of Drouin.

These buyers also selected Andes Toystory Rhoda at $3,600, Andes Mayfield Licka at $3,300 Andes Ace Kingaroy at $3,250.

Other noted sales included Rockwood Park Dream Papoose at $3,300 to Eloora Past. Co and Andes Goldwyn Cretonne 3, VG 88 at $3,200 to S Wilkie.
