A great crowd of Jersey enthusiasts were at the Echuca Selling Centre for the ‘Kream of Kaddy’ Jersey Dispersal Sale for Andrew Younger of Gillieston.
Sale top of $8,000 was paid for the outstanding cow, Kaddy Vana Elwise 11, EX 91, this 5 year old sired by Vanahlem bred down from the famous Warwick Elwise family sold to J & M Drury of Tamworth, NSW.
Next top of $5,250 was paid by the well known Kaarmona herd of G & R Sprunt for Kaddy Vana Winks 7, EX 90, this 6 year old also by Vanahlem had a PI of 125 and was backed by 7 generations of EX dams.
The Gelbeado Park herd of P & L Mumford of Won Wron paid $5,000 for the 13th gen EX cow Kaddy Spirit Sandra 13.
Also at $5,000 was Kaddy Valentino Fantastic 2, VG 86 bred from Astounds family, she was purchased by C Ferrari of Princetown.
D Hourigan of Darryn Vale Jerseys, Milawa selected Kaddy SS Magnificent 30, EX 91 a tremendous cow by Sandstorm for $4,500.
The successful Brookbora herd of the Bacon Family paid $4,250 for Kaddy TBone Ilagay 46, EX 90.
Benlock Jerseys, Rochester selected 2 outstanding cows in Kaddy VLine Illusion 15, EX 90 at $4,100 and Kaddy Celeb Silvermine 16, EX 90 at $3.400.
Other noted sales included Kaddy Vana Ilagay 47, VG 88 at $3,600 to D & A Mathews of Dumbalk. Kaddy Vana Magnificent 32 at $3,100 to P Schubert of Muswellbrook, NSW and Kaddy Vana Olola 14, VG 88 at $3,000 to Wanstead Jerseys of Boorcan.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report buyers were from all parts of Victoria along with various parts of NSW.
