These Angus cows and calves from Euroa sold for $1950.

Cow and calf units increased this week for a total offering of 714 head, boosted by an offering of 300 cows and calves from Winton, QLD, selling for $1,440 to a Longreach buyer.

These Droughtmaster and Droughtmaster cross cows are aged 3 to 13 years, weigh 468kg with Droughtmaster calves at foot.

Young breeders sold for an average of $1,555, to a top of $1,950. This top price went to a line of Angus cows and calves from Euroa, VIC. These cows are 3.5 years old, weigh 528kg and have been bred from Rennylea and Kennys Creek blood lines.

The calves at foot are sired by Connamara Angus bulls, aged 6 to 12 weeks and average 102kg.

Proven breeders averaged $1,450, to a top of $1,600. This top price went to a line of Angus cows and calves from Stoneleigh, VIC.

The cows are 7 years old, weigh 566kg and have been re joined to Witherswood Angus bulls. The Angus calves at foot are 5 to 6 months old and average 250kg.

Joined Heifers sold to an average of $996, and to a top of $1,580. This top price went to a line of Angus heifers from Molong, NSW. These Choice Angus blood heifers are aged 21 to 22 months, weigh 502kg and have been PTIC to Choice Angus bulls.

Another highlight of heifers comes from Roma, QLD. A line of Angus / Droughtmaster heifers, aged 17 to 20 months, weighing 404kg and PTIC to Burenda and Hazeldean Angus bulls, which sold for $1,115.

Young joined cows sold to average $1,127 and to a top of $1,900. This top price went to a line out of Molong, NSW.

These Choice blood Angus cows are rising 3 year old’s, weigh 633kg and have been PTIC back to Choice Angus bulls.

Proven joined breeders sold to average $903 and to a top of $1,250. This top price went to a line of Hazeldean blood Angus cows from Cooma, NSW. These cows are aged 5.8 years to 8 years old, weigh 573kg and have been PTIC to Hazeldean Angus Bulls.

Weaner steers weighing up to 250kgs sold from 240c to 342c to average 301c/kg. The top price went to 251 Santa Gertrudis steers from Rollestone, QLD.

These EU accredited steers are 6 to 8 months old and weigh 206kgs. Weaned steers weighing 250kg + sold from 288c to 347c to average 318c/kg. T

his top price went to a line of Hazeldean and Reiland blood steers from Book Book, NSW. These EU accredited steers are 8 to 9 months old and weigh 271kg.

Yearling and Grown steers weighing 260kg to 450kg sold from 286c to 355c to average 310c/kg. The top price went to a line of EU accredited, Angus steers from Walcha, NSW.

These steers are 17 to 20 months old, weigh 446kg and sold to a feedlot after grass-finisher and feedlot competition from NSW and QLD.

Weaner heifers weighing up to 250kgs sold from 197c to 346c to average 257c/kg. The top price went to a line of EU accredited Santa Gertrudis heifers from Rolleston, QLD.

These heifers are 6 to 8 months and weigh 197kgs. Weaner heifers weighing 250kg + sold from 222c to 382c to average 270c/kg.

The top price went to a line of Romagnola heifers from Coolabah, NSW. These Hamilton Park and Wing Valley blood heifers are 6 to 9 months old and weigh 254kg.

Yearling and grown heifers sold from 265c to 296 to average 280c/kg. The top price went to a line of Charolais cross heifers from Yea, VIC. These heifers are 14 to 18 months old and weigh 396kg.

Down in Tasmania a line of Charolais & Charolais cross steers, aged 7 to 8 months, weighing 345kg sold for $1,060 or 308c/kg.

From the same vendor the sisters of the steers weighed 331kg and sold for $840 or 254c/kg. From Mayberry, a line of Gelbvieh/ Murray Grey heifers, aged 6 to 8 months, weighing 289kg sold for $675 or 233c/kg.

Lastly, from Longford a line of Poll Hereford/ Angus heifers, aged 6 to 8 months, weighing 266kg sold for $630 or 237c/kg.

Over in Western Australia, Angus weaner steers weighing 170kg to 240kg dressed, sold for an average of 517c/kg dressed.

Mixed sex weaners weighing 152kg to 198kg dressed, sold for an average of 511c/kg and a line of crossbred mixed sex yearlings, weighing 197kg dressed from Northcliffe sold for 508c/kg.

A small line of Lawson blood Angus heifers from Manjimup sold for $730. These heifers are aged 8 to 9 months and weigh 274kgs. Finally, a line of dairy cows, aged 4 to 10 years, weighing 282kg dressed sold for 417c/kg.
