Demand for merino ewe lambs was high last week, with 85% of the 14,243 head finding buyers on AuctionsPlus.

Prices ranged from $76 to $227 and averaged $165. The top priced lot was a line of North Ashrose ewes from Spalding, SA.

The ewe lambs are 10-11 months old, weigh 37kgs and will be remaining in SA. Ewe hoggets sold from $119 to $244 and averaged $175.

The top priced mob was a line of 51kg Tamaleuca blood ewes from Wentworth, NSW. The ewes have been station mated to White Suffolk rams, and found a buyer in Deniliquin, NSW.

Other merino highlights this week include a line of 3 year old ewes from Talwood, QLD, crossing the border to Dubbo, NSW making $171 and a line of 3 year old SIL ewes from Nyngan, NSW heading to Inverell, NSW making $239.

Merino wether lambs continue to be an attractive item, with the 10,500 head offered finding an 88% clearance.

Prices ranged from $77 to $164.5 and averaged $113. The top price went to a line of Hazeldean blood wether lambs from Rankins Springs, NSW.

The lambs averaged 44kgs, have a 2” skin and are crossing the border to Echuca, VIC. Merino wether hoggets ranged from $70 to $176 and averaged $112.

The top price went to 400 woolgrower wethers from Armidale, NSW. The wethers are bred from Yalgoo & Demondrille bloodlines, have a 2.5” skin, weigh 50kgs and are on their way to Coolah, NSW. Other merino highlights this week included a line of wether hoggets from Talwood, QLD which made $114. These woolgrower wethers have a 1” skin and are travelling south to Forbes, NSW.

Border Leicester/Merino ewe lambs averaged $186 and ranged from $122 to $230. The top price went to a line of 1st cross future breeders from Booroowa, NSW.

The ewe lambs weigh 56kgs, and found a buyer in Cowra, NSW. SIL first cross ewes sold from $190 to $240.5 and averaged $213.5.

The top price went to 265 ewes from Collie, NSW. The ewes are 2-5 years old, weigh 62kgs and have been SIL to Poll Dorset rams.

Out of Brit Brit, Victoria, a line of 2 year old SIL ewes made $210. These ewes weigh 50kgs and have been joined to composite rams.

To other breeds, where a line of Border Leicester/SAMM unjoined ewes from Nyngan, NSW sold for $247.

The ewe lambs are 9-10 months old, weigh 65kgs and are crossing the border to Jamestown, SA.

Another highlight saw a line of White Suffolk/Composite SIL ewes from Macarthur, VIC sell for $214. The ewes are 2.8-4.8 years old, have been joined to Southdown rams and are heading to Echuca, VIC.

There was strong demand for store lambs this week, with the 4,675 head offered finding a 100% clearance. Top prices included:
