Wazza daughter sells for top of $4000 at Minogue sale

Dairy-lamenessThe high quality herd of Holstein Cows and joined Heifers of KF, VG & LK Minogue of Katandra West were auctioned at the Shepparton Selling Centre.

Top price of $4,000 was paid By RG & KF Glover of Katandra for the outstanding quality rising 6 year old cow by Wazza, she had a PI of 119 and currently milking 2.45 kgs solids daily.

This is the highest price paid for a Commercial Cow for several years.

Next top lot at $3,000 was another autumn calved cow with a tremendous udder
on her 2nd lactation and had PI 120 on her 1st, she sold to R & J Easterbrook of Tatura.

The first cow in the ring was a 2nd calf Kody daughter milking 40 litres,
she sold at $2,900. Also at this price was a 5 year old Pothole daughter milking 40 litres.

Top price for Spring calving cows at $2,600 was reached twice for lot 63 a Dazzling daughter and lot 135 sired by Domino.

The large line of Spring calving heifers were most impressive and sold to a top of $2,600 for a Lavaman daughter while a daughter of Manifold sold for $2,450.

Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report the following averages –

Buyers were from throughout Northern Victoria along with Southern Riverina, NSW and Gippsland.
