The top price lot was a line of 12 to 13-month-old NSM Merino ewe hoggets from Womboota, NSW.
These ewes are bred on Leahcim bloodlines, with SRS genetics used in the flock for the past 9 years.
While a line of 14 to 21-month-old, future breeder ewe hoggets, from Eudunda, SA sold for $215.
Young Merino breeders, 2 to 4 years old sold from $175 to $259, to average $210, up $10 on last week. The top price was achieved by a line of SIL June/July 17’ drop ewes from Deniliquin, NSW.
These ewes are SIL to White Suffolk rams and will make their way to Bendigo, VIC. Proven Merino Breeders sold from $171 to $286, to average $207, up $35 on last week.
Merino wether lambs sold from $81 to $150, averaging $124 up $3 on last week.
The top price was achieved by a line of Sep/Oct 18’ drop woolgrower wether lambs from Cooma, NSW, these lambs are 37kg, with a 2.5-3” skin. Merino hoggets and grown wethers sold from $80 to $173, averaging $122, down $3 on last week.
Processors from NSW and VIC were active this week, particularly on a line of 1,700 wethers from A/C Thurloo Downs, Wanaaring, NSW selling for 609c/kg dressed. These wethers are 23kg dressed with a 1-1.5” skin.
A total of 3,545, Border Leicester/Merino ewes and ewe lambs were offered this week to find a clearance of 81%. Selling from $122 to $290, averaging $229.
A line of 11 to 12-month-old NSM Ewes from Parkes, NSW sold for $271, which are 54kg and found a local buyer at Grenfell, NSW.
9,610 new season store lambs were offered online this week, finding a 58% national clearance.
