Holsteins sold to $5,000 at the recent Holstein sale at Shepparton Selling Centre.
The sale top was Ingoldale Like Tossette, a very stylish 5 year old cow close to calving selling from J & D Gilmore, she was purchased by Ferguson Farms of Toolamba.
Next top price of $3,600 was paid for Coldara Hunk Mickie, a heifer just calved with a heifer by Salt selling to Eloora Past. Co of Blighty, NSW.
These buyers also selected other Coldara heifers from Graeme and Bev Joiner, they included Coldara Unix Sharrie backed by 9 generations of EX & VG dams at $3,000 and Coldara DH Solice also at $3,000.
Other noted sales included Coldara Unix Pippa a daughter of the Show Champion Planet Porscha at $3,300 selling to F & S DeCicco of Undera.
Coldara DH Raelee a very close to calving Dragonheart daughter also at $3,000 selling to Ferguson Farms.
Also sold were several freshly calved cows from various vendors selling to a top of $2,500 for a fresh heifer by Guthrie that was A2A2.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock report an average of $1,805
Buyers were from Northern Victoria, Southern Riverina and the Moss Vale, NSW.
