The top price was for a line Jul/Aug 19’ drop wether lambs, weighing 42kgs from Gladstone, SA. Account ‘Nareen Station’ from Nareen, VIC offered 5,670 Aug/Sept 19’ drop woolgrower wether lambs over 12 lots (pictured).

The lambs sold from $111 to $128 and are all staying with buyers in Victoria. Older Merino wethers sold from $83 to $156, averaging $134. From Woodside, VIC a line of Hazeldean blood, 3 year old wethers, weighing 60kgs returned the top price. Account ‘Hazeldean Pty Ltd’ offered 1,755 woolgrower wethers over 3 lines. The wethers are 29-27 months old, weigh 48kgs and all returned $142.

This week saw a small offering of Merino ewe lambs with clearance reaching 72%. Prices ranged from $104.50 to $177 and averaged $134.

The top price was achieved by a line of Boonooke blood ewes weighing 49kgs from Rochester, VIC. Merino ewe hogget prices dropped this week, averaging $197, and selling from $76 to $286.

From Minalton, SA a line of 70kg ewe hoggets returned the top price. The hoggets are bred from Carrie Cowie blood and will be heading to a buyer in Coolamon, NSW.

Young Merino breeders (2-4 years) sold from $128 to $237 and averaged $183. A line of 2-2.5 year old ewes from Copeville, SA weighing 64kgs returned the top price.

From Simpson, VIC a line of 3 year old Coonemarra blood ewes, weighing 49kgs returned $202. Proven Merino breeders (4+ years) sold from $67.50 to $197.50 and averaged $144. From Kingston, SA a line of Glendemar blood 5-5.5 year old ewes weighing 68kgs returned the top price. Whilst from Gilgandra, NSW a line of Kerin Poll blood, 4.5-5.5 year old ewes weighing 43kgs returned $163.

First cross ewe lambs sold from $102 to $254, averaging $182.  The top price was returned by a line of Jun/Jul 19’ drop, future breeder ewe lambs weighing 47kgs from Euroa, VIC.

First cross ewe hoggets sold from $180 to $291, averaging $225. From Rupanyup, VIC a line of 18-19 month old NSM ewes weighing 67kgs returned the top price.  Whilst from Crookwell, NSW a line of 14-15 month old ewes weighing 53kgs returned $241.

Other highlights include a line of 100 NSM Composite ewes, they are 2 year old, weigh 80kgs and returned $348. From Willunga, SA a line of mixed age Dorper/White Dorper Ewes & Lambs made $240. The ewes weigh 57kgs and the LAF are 1-4 months old.

The Cloven Hills Ewe sale was held online this week consisting of 4,023 head offered over 22 lots. Composite ewe lambs sold from $150 to $228 and averaged $170. The top price was achieved by Jul/Aug 19’ drop ewe lambs, weighing 42kgs.

39,028 new season lambs were offered online this week, a decrease of just over 5,000 on last. Highlights included:

–         June/July 19’ drop, 26kg, 2nd X Poll Dorset mixed sex suckers from KALKALLO, VIC sold for $115.50/444c live
–         Sept/Oct 19’ drop, 21kg, 1st X Dorset/Merino mixed sex suckers from GOULBURN, NSW sold for $86.50/406c live
–         Sept 19’ drop, 30kg, 1st X White Suffolk/Composite mixed sex store lambs from COOLAC, NSW sold for $119.50/388c live
–         Aug/Sept 19’ drop, 30kg, 1st X Composite/Southdown mixed sex suckers from DIGBY, VIC sold for $115/383c live
–         Jul/Sept ’19 drop, 32kg, 1st X Coolalee/Merino mixed sex lambs from TOOBEAH, QLD sold for $120.50/376c live
–         Aug/Sept 19’ drop 45kg, 2nd X Poll Dorset mixed sex suckers from ARARAT, VIC sold for $159/351c live
