The top price went to A/c ‘Flo Australia Pty Ltd’ from Dingo, QLD offering a line of 32 Brahman cows and calves (pictured), aged 4-6 years weighing 481kgs. The calves at foot are 6-21 weeks and weigh 100kgs.
Other highlights include a line of 36 Angus PTIC cows & calves offered by A/c ‘AJ & N Caithness’ from Koonwarra, VIC, sold for $3,050. These rising 4-year-old cows weigh 618kgs with 237kg, 5-6-month-old calves at foot and are PTIC to Angus bulls. From Bylong, NSW a line of mixed age Charolais cows with CAF, weighing 419kgs, with 3-5-month-old CAF, sired by Angus bulls, sold for $1,860.
PTIC heifer numbers dropped this week to total 596 head. Prices ranged from $900 to $2060, averaging $1,698, down $354.
The top price went to a line of Bongongo and Rennylea blood Angus heifers from A/c ‘The Junction’, Coolac, NSW. These heifers are 18-19 months, weighing 367kgs and are PTIC to Registered Wagyu bulls.
Other highlights include a line of 25 PTIC Angus heifers, aged 18-19 months, weighing 473kg, which are PTIC to Angus bulls and will travel interstate from Lyons, VIC to Walcha, NSW. A/c ‘Mount Norway Partnership’ from Oberon, NSW offered 17 PTIC Rosedale black composite heifers which sold for $1,760. These 18-19-month-old heifers weigh 444kgs and are PTIC to Hicks Black Composite bulls.
PTIC cow numbers also saw a decrease from the 1,153 head last week to the 1,051 head offered this week. Prices ranged from $1,350 to $2,450, averaging $1,981, down $96 on last week.
The top price went to a line of 59 PTIC cows offered by A/c ‘Kannemer Pty Ltd’, Quirindi, NSW. These 29-31-month-old Angus cows weigh 625kg and are PTIC to Angus bulls.
The next top price went to Angus PTIC cows from Walcha, NSW at $2,340 for A/c ‘TEPA Pty Ltd’. The PTIC of Kansas blood cows aged 28-30-months-old, weigh 438kgs are PTIC to Angus bulls. Other highlights include 32 Shorthorn PTIC cows offered by A/c ‘Edward McCutcheon’ from Trangie, NSW which sold for $1,720. These mixed age cows weigh 557kgs and are PTIC to Shorthorn bulls.
