First cross ewe lambs sold from $222 to $324, averaging $275, up $21 on last week.

The top price went to a line of Future Breeder ewe lambs from Ardlethan, NSW, weighing 56kg, testament to A/c ‘CL & DF McKinnon’.

Merino ewe lambs sold from $151 to $281, averaging $228 up $6 on last week.

The top price went to a line from A/c ‘AJ & ST Ryan’, Tilpa, NSW. These ewes are August/September 2019 drop, weighing 49kgs with a 1.8” skin.

The Merino ewe lamb category saw the top three lots of the week all produced by A/c ‘AJ & ST Ryan’ from Tilpa, NSW.

Merino hoggets sold from $182 to $282, averaging $207, down $46 on last week. The top price went to 235 NSM Moorundie Park Blood ewes offered by A/c ‘RL, ZG & AR Wait’. These 1.5” skin, 61kg Poll Merinos now head from Jabuk, SA to Keith, SA.

Young Merino breeders (2-4 years) sold from $217 to $410, averaging $288, down $10 on last week.

The top lot of the week went to A/c ‘WK & CL Habel’ from Condobolin, NSW with scanned in lamb ewes with Border Leicester lambs at foot. The mixed age Merino ewes produced 119% lambing and are now headed to Goolgowi, NSW awaiting some southern rainfall.

Proven Merino breeders (4+ years) averaged $202, down $78, selling from $95 to $350.

The top price achieved by A/c ‘GJ Izard’ consisted of 850 NSM ewes with 3” skin and 940 lambs at foot sired by Poll Dorest rams. The mixed aged Merinos will now travel from Mildura, VIC, to their new home in Merrinee, VIC.

Merino wether lambs sold from $116 to $135, averaging $123. The top price went to Canowie blood wether lambs from A/c ‘Kinyerrie Partnership’, Keith, SA.

These lambs are March/April 2020 drop and weigh 43kgs with a 1.5” skin. Another highlight saw a Western NSW line of $131 wether lambs head North East to Goondiwindi, QLD, curtesy of A/c ‘JK & D Dawson’.

Merino wethers averaged $130, selling from $142 to $122, a $10 increase on the previous week.

The top, 32kg Merino wethers from Guyra, NSW, by A/c ‘Stuart Dick’ are travelling to Canowinda, NSW, with 2.5” skin to take advance of a quick response to crop.

Ewes with lambs at foot sold from $161 to $410, averaging $307 down $21 on last week. The top lot of the week went to A/c ‘A & D Koop’ from Nhill, Vic with 501 ewes with Border Leicester lambs at foot.

The mixed age Merino ewes produced 119% lambing and are now headed to Woodstock, Central West NSW to take advantage of the areas seasonal change. A highlight to note was two lots from O’Connell, NSW, reaching $375 by A/c ‘Roberts Pastoral co’ with a total of 805 Ewes and 1030 lambs.

The store lamb offering increased to 10,019 head and achieved a moderate clearance of 62%. Prices were between 311c to 642c, averaging 408c. Highlights include;

– May/Jun ’20, 21kg, Merino/Poll Dorset mixed sex sucker from COOTAMUNDRA, New South Wales sold for 516c or $109

– May/Jun ’20, 22kg, Poll Merino/ White Suffolk mixed sex suckers from KINGSCOTE, South Australia sold for 502c or $111

– June ’20, 25kg, Poll Dorset/ Merino mixed sex lambs from TOOLEYBUC, New South Wales sold for 468c or $117

– Mar/Apr ’20, 33kg, Poll Dorset/ Merino mixed sex suckers from YEOVAL, New South Wales sold for 437c or $153

– Apr/May ’20, 26kg, Poll Dorset/ Merino mixed sex suckers from MARRABEL, South Australia sold for 437c or $115
