View Fort Sidekick Lorie brings $22,000 at Winners Circle sale

Winners-circle-top-lotA huge online audience of near 1,000 people from all over the World viewed the recent ‘Winners Circle’ sale hosted by International Dairy Week, Dairy Livestock Services and the City of Greater Shepparton and managed by Declan Patten.

The catalogue represented All Breeds with a focus on successful exhibits from past IDW shows, all lots were pictured by Cullen Marketing prior to sale and were marketed online prior to the auction that was held from the DLS Office on Thursday evening 21st January.

Sale top of $22,000 was paid for View Fort Sidekick Lorie, a VG 87 2 year old bred down from former IDW Grand Champion Fairvale Morty Lady 51, EX 97. She was sold by M & N Templeton to the buying Syndicate of C Allen, NSW, G Gordon, J Holloway, Vic & B Weeks of Canada.
Next top of $14,000 was paid for the yearling CP Capital Cinnamon, this stylish heifer is a grand daughter of the 2020 IDW Reserve Grand Champion Avonlea-YF Windbrook Cinnamon, EX 91 and sold a/c Cinnamon Partners to the partnership of T Northfield, NSW & B Thomas, Vic.

Next high Holstein at $10,500 was Avonlea Doorman Amelia, VG 87 on 1st lactation, this classy heifer is from a former IDW Youth Show Champion Avonlea Sanchez Alana, EX 93. She sold a/c J & C Gardiner to Tim Somerville of Timmering, Vic.

Embryos were in strong demand with a top of $1,900 each for a package by Chief from a daughter of former IDW in milk winner Murribrook Doorman Candace, EX 91 a/c B Salmon selling to B & J Bailey of NSW.

Top selling Jersey at $11,000 was the outstanding milking 2 year old Broadlin Illusion 3592, VG, this grand daughter of former IDW Grand Champion Broadlin Illusion 2817, EX 93 sold a/c L & L Broad to the Syndicate of Ben Govett, M Fleming & L Heath along with Aspire Jerseys all of Vic.

Next high of $8,250 was Brookbora Standard Lady 330, this joined heifer is a daughter of the current All Australian 3 year old and sold a/c The Bacon Family to Ben Govett, Vic.

Other noted Jersey sales include Lightning Ridge MB Colton Dixie a 6 month old daughter of Royal Winter Fair Intermediate Champion Crossbrook HG Dixie, EX 94, she sold a/c Patten, Moscript & Borba to M Thompson, Vic at $7,250.

The South Australian entry Robsvue Lemonhead Vanessa who had recently won the SA On Farm Challenge and is backed by 10 gens of EX NZ dams sold a/c R & B Walmsley to Jugiong Jerseys at $7,000. Top embryo lot at $1,650 per embryo for a package from Kevetta Chrome Violin, VG 89 selling to J Tarpey of Tipperary, Ireland.

The 2 Brown Swiss lots created strong interest with the Pick of the Pair from Tandara, Ben Govett selling to $8,750 for Bender Lunda 275 to B Hayter of NSW and Linderlan Glenwood Tess from an EX 91 dam a/c Brown & Fisicaro selling at $8,000 to The Dickson Family of Terang.

The Ayrshire, Regal Park Bigtime Rose who had recently won the ST Virtual Youth Show sold a/c D & S Mayo, NSW for $7,900 and the Guernsey from L & J Cleggett, SA, Brookleigh Brogdon Jamboree, a daughter of a 2020 IDW winner sold at $7,600, both these lots were purchased by B Hayter of NSW.

Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report there was enormous Pre-Sale bidding on the Elite Livestock platform and sold a 100% clearance for33 lots to gross $244,400 av $7,406.
