New agricultural platform built by farmers for farmers

Relm-GroupLocally owned RELM Group Australia is taking the next step into the digital agricultural farm machinery, livestock, rural property sales and finance arena with the launch of their new platform this month.

Using cutting edge software and an innovative mobile app coming later in the year, the user-friendly platform www.relmag.com.au caters specifically for agricultural farm machinery, livestock and rural properties.

With just a few clicks, farmers can enter a description, photos and videos of their agricultural machinery, equipment or livestock straight from the ute or home office.

The platform allows users to enter information with or without the internet connectivity, via any mobile or phone tablet. The data will automatically upload when back in service.

RELM Group Australia is wholly Australian owned and independent, and comprises the divisions of Ag Machinery Auctions and Sales (AG-MAS), a livestock division, Australian Rural Property Sales (ARPS) and Pay In Time Finance (PIT-F).

RELM Group chief executive officer Robbie McKenzie was among the first CALM (Computer Aided Livestock Marketing) cattle assessors in the nation during the 1980s.

Mr McKenzie, of Warragul, has built four agricultural related businesses in Australia and the USA.

He has been instrumental in formulating strategic alliances and partnerships in business to offer both traditional and online marketing systems.

RELM Group is a combination of all the business units established in the 1980s.

It draws together an experienced team who, during their respective careers, have been engaged across the broadacre cropping, dairy, pastoral, grazing, lot feeding, irrigation, grain storage and agribusiness supply chain sectors.

“We have created a one stop shop across sales, auctions, finance and property,” Mr McKenzie said.

“This offers the agricultural sector connectivity, independence, transparency, reliability and the power of choice.

“Essentially, the new digital platform has been developed by farmers for farmers.”

RELM Group aims to create a more complete service to the agricultural industry with the Pay In Time Finance Pty Ltd division.

“In our equipment auction business we pay out every Tuesday and Thursday so once we have cleared funds you will have your money in a day or two,” Mr McKenzie said.

“We currently have a range of finance options, some at four per cent or below, and in most cases, approval will be under 24 hours. We will also have lines of credit to approved applicants

“Farmers can list their equipment, livestock or property in our system and each division will market the listing to our current database and our partner’s databases across Australia and New Zealand.

“Farmers will have the ability to choose what auction they want their listing in and can nominate a reserve price, or simply place it in our for sale section.”

RELM Group will conduct single vendor or combined multi-vendor online clearing sale auctions across the nation in any location.

There are no joining fees and farmers simply make one phone call to access the four services on the one site, making it a seamless marketing experience.

RELM Group Australia is staffed by office manager Lisa Brown and compliance manager Melissa Currie.

The team for agriculture machinery auctions and sales includes livestock manager Eric Brown, finance manager Jack Lesley, and rural property sales managers Bruce Watson and Robbie McKenzie.

Gary Quirk manages the machinery display yard in Toowoomba, Qld, and rural property sales and livestock in New Zealand is Richard Rowlands.
