Webinar on summer worm control and classing ewes

WA-sheepThe Bare Basics for summer worm control is the first topic in a series of webinars from Local Land Services on Friday, September 10 at 12.30pm-1pm.
In this first session, Shaun Slattery, Narrabri, and Justine McNally, Moree, are going to explain the situation we are facing this spring and summer with worms; the basic strategies you can follow to avoid deaths, production losses and chasing your tail with emergency drenching.

This includes how to set and forget for the grain harvest period.

In 20 minutes, we will give you the simple steps required to tackle this summer’s looming worm issue, with the aim of saving you hours of extra sheep work over the summer.

Additional sessions to come over the next couple of months, include:

  • Spring lamb marking – kill two birds with one stone
  • Five tips at weaning – help maximise production with simple strategies
  • Classing – who Ewe need to expel
  • Ram selection – the five Ts.
Registration details for future sessions coming soon!
