Dumbarton Dempsey Jane tops Wildwood second stage dispersal on $6500

Wildwood-dispersalDairy Farmers from all parts of Victoria were keen to select from the high quality line up of Spring calved Cows and Heifers at the Second Stage Dispersal Sale of Wildwood Dairies held at the Lardner Park Selling Centre.

Sale top of $6,500 was paid for the 6 year old, Dumbarton Dempsey Jane, this wonderful uddered cow was bred from the famed NZ Romanac Jane family and was purchased by Krishlaye Holsteins of Nerrena.

The same buyer also selected the next top lot, Dumbarton Lambda Watsonia, a top young milking 2 year old by Delta Lambda from a Jett Air dam at $5,750.

Also at $5,750 was Debday Dorcy Essie, a high producing Dorcy 6 year old bred from the famed Avonlea Essie family, she sold to Munden Farms of Nilma North. The same buyers also selected Dumbarton Eric Mistress at $5,250.

Buying online was Royston Nettleton of Bairnsdale who selected top young cows including Dumbarton Lambda Jane, a daughter of the top selling cow and Dumbarton Lambda Montana, both outstanding 2 year olds at $5,500 each.
Belinda Harrison of Pound Creek purchased a few top young cows including Dumbarton Silver Wondrous, Silver from an Impression dam at $5,000.

Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report: 86 Registered and Commercial Holsteins gross $339,300, Av $3,945

Buyers were from all parts of Victoria.
