Hour of power to address mulesing debate in Merinos

TriggervaleThe inclusion of an inspection day of the Trigger Vale ram sale calendar has come at the expense of the stud’s biannual information day which have been so well attended over the past 20 years.

To address this, the Bouffler family have come up with the exciting initiative of having a short theme-based information session for one hour starting at 2pm on August 24.

“With the recent change in our Federal Government, we believe the likelihood of a ban in mulesing in the short term has never been higher so our first “hour of power” will focus on this subject,” Andrew Bouffler said.

Speakers will include:

Mark Ferguson NeXtgen Agri – genetic tools available to target mules free Merino’s

Andrew Bouffler – Our 20-year journey resulting in Trigger Vale being Australia’s leading mules free genetic supplier

Representative from Responsible Wool Standards – what’s involved with RWS accreditation and the significant wool premiums being achieved.

“While we are not advocating that commercial producers should cease mulesing right away this information session will give people some options to position themselves for the inevitable ban on mulesing,” Andrew said.
