Return buyers were again the strength at the Fourth Stage Complete Dispersal Sale of Cairnbrae Jerseys of Alan and Janine Carson.
Sale top of $13,000 was paid for Cairnbrae Casino Estelle 21, a rising 2 year old from Valentino Estelle 40, EX 92, she sold to Pat Buckley of Camden, NSW who had purchased the dam at last years herd sale.
The same buyer selected several lots including Cairnbrae Chrome Estelle 15 at $7,000, this daughter of Valentino Estelle 39, EX 91 sold due to Jeronimo.
Second top of $8,500 was Cairnbrae Casino Estelle 22, a daughter of the 5th gen EX Regions Estelle 3, EX 92, she sold to the Fry Family of Brunswick, WA.
The well known Brookbora herd of the Bacon Family at Tennyson selected a group of top heifers including Cairnbrae Raceway Althea, a daughter of the 2022 IDW Winning Intermediate Best Udder cow Cairnbrae Citation Althea. EX 91 at $8,500. They also purchased Cairnbrae Matts Daisy 7, a daughter of the 2022 SA Fair Champion Chrome Daisy 2, EX at $6,500 and Casino Estelle 23 backed by 7 gens of EX dams at $6,000.
Emu Banks of Terang selected several heifers including Cairnbrae Matts Estelle 5 at $7,500 and Cairnbrae Matts Daisy 8 from a 4th gen EX dam at $7,000.
The Kaarmona herd paid $6,500 for Cairnbrae Matts Estelle 7 from a 5th gen EX dam and Cairnbrae Dimension Estelle an EX 91, 5 year old cow at $6,000.
Eloora Past Co of Denilquin, NSW purchased the deep pedigree heifer Cairnbrae Casino Patrina at $6,000. While her dam Cairnbrae Irwins Patrina, EX 92, an OFC Winner sold at $6,000 to return buyers the Davis Family of Walkah Jerseys, Qld who purchased 17 head throughout the sale.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services and Charles Stewart & Co report 76% of the sale lots were purchased by return buyers from all States except Tas. Many lots were purchased online via Elite – 85 Heifers av $3,918, 8 Cows av $3,500 and overall 93 Jerseys gross $361,000 Av $3,882.
