Nominations called from all corners of the wool industry for the Wool Industry Medal

It’s time to celebrate and recognise the achievements of the Australian wool industry and those who have made a significant contribution to its success by nominating a worthy recipient for the 2024 Australian Wool Industry Medal. 

Since 2017, Wool Industries Australia Inc. (WIA) has presented the Australian Wool Industry Medal to recognise those who have made an outstanding and lasting contribution to the Australian wool industry. 

 All medalists have made an exceptional and lasting contribution to the Australian wool industry. 

Australian Wool Industry Medalists have been nominated from a broad range of sectors within and across the Australian wool Industry including: Wool Producing, Wool Classing/Shearing, brokering, exporting, processing, science/research/testing, fashion/retail, education, market reporting/analysis, administration and regulation service.

Who will you nominate? 

Consider some of the following questions: 

* Has someone you know demonstrated service worthy of recognition? 

* Has their contribution had a significant impact in the wool industry in either a particular field or across industry? 

* Have they been recognised elsewhere (eg: in the media, by other awards, professional / interest groups or through local government) or previously received an award relating to the wool industry? 

Wool Industries Australia is the peak body for the Australian wool industry. Members include: Australian Council of Wool Exporters and Processors, Australian Wool Exchange, AWH Pty Ltd, Australian Wool Innovation, Australian Wool Testing Authority, The National Council of Wool Selling Brokers of Australia, and WoolProducers Australia. 

Nominations for the 2024 Australian Wool Industry Medal will remain open until COB Friday 31 May 2024. All nominations must be submitted to AWIM NOMINATION wia@woolindustries.org
