Coorievale Chip June tops Coorievale first stage dispersal at $12,000

Sale top of $12,000 was Coorievale Chip June.

Western Victorian Jersey Breeders Chris and Pam Mackenzie of the long established Coorievale herd, established by Alex MacKenzie some 60 years ago, recently held their First Stage Complete Dispersal Sale on farm at Cooriemungle.

Those in attendance were loud in their praise of the high quality and fine udders of the entire herd.

Sale top of $12,000 was Coorievale Chip June, a first lactation Chocochip daughter due again in July and who had placed 2nd in the WD OFC last Spring. She is from an EX 93 BW Renegade dam who won the WD OFC Champion in 2019 andĀ sold to Darren Crawford of Muttama, NSW.

The same buyer selected several of the top lots throughout the sale including the outstanding uddered Jireh Bio Beauty, EX at $10,500, Coorievale Pilgrim Debra, EX 91 at $8,000, Coorievale Coval Balene, VG 88 at $6,500 and Jireh Chip Pendant at $6,300.

The high performance Jamber herd of Robbie & Ash Wilson, NSW purchased 2nd high lot Jireh Irwin Adrienne, VG 89 backed by 5 gens EX dams back to Chief Althea at $11,000 along with several others including Jireh Viral Merriland, EX 91 at $8,500, Jireh Coval Calais, VG 89 3yo at $7,500 and Coorievale Ice Vivienne, EX 92 over 9,200 litres at $6,000.

Keen young breeder Lloyd Akers of Tallygaroopna selected the highest gBPI cow in herd Jireh Circus Belle, EX 92, gBPI +370 who had produced 891 kgs solids on most recent lactation at $9,000. The Master Breeder Kaarmona herd selected Jireh Caspian Serene, EX 93 at $8,000 and Jireh Oliver Glory, EX 92 also at $8,000.

Local breeders C & S Ferrari purchased Jireh Chip Suzanne a freshly calved heifer bred from the BW Avery Suzanne family at $8,000. Also staying local was Coorievale Irwin Estelle a top young first lact heifer due again in July at $6,500 selling to Corey Couch of Laang while her ET sister Irwin Ettie sold for $6,000 to G Bryce of Nullawarre.

Jaynaela Jerseys of Byrneside in Northern Victoria selected Coorievale Pixstar Delwyn, EX 91 from the Merriland Desire family at $6,500 and Jireh Oliver Caprice, EX 91 also at $6,500. R & J Easterbrook & Sons of Tatura paid $6,500 for Coorievale Circus Daisy, VG 88 bred from the famed Big Hollow Daisy family.

Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services and Charles Stewart Nash McVilly report buyers were from all parts of Victoria, NSW & Tasmania.
