A large crowd were on farm along with a huge online audience for the Clydevale Golden Anniversary Sale celebrating 50 years of breeding Holsteins by the Dee Family at Macorna.
The outstanding offering of young milking cows, joined and unjoined heifers were presented in fantastic form.
Topping the sale at $18,000 was Clydevale Lambda Cleaver a VG 85 2 year old from the 2024 Reserve Intermediate Champion of IDW Clydevale Doc Cleavage, 11th gen EX, she was purchased by Jock Culton of Katunga.
Next top at $10,000 was Lot 1, Clydevale Surgarush Integral, a 9 month daughter of the 2024 Winning Semex OFC Champion Clydevale Doc Integrity, EX 92, she was purchased by local breeders R & T Wishart.
These buyers also selected Clydevale Lambda Sunsilk a 10 month old grand daughter of Bolton Sundae, EX 95 at $6,000.
Local breeders Gorbro Holsteins paid $9,000 for the classy yearling Clydevale Davinci Vera backed by the Jacobs Goldwyn Valana, EX 95 cow family.
The Master Breeder herd, Clydebank of R & L Somerville selected Clydevale Davinci Sunburn a Spring calving daughter of the EX 90 Piston Sunsmart cow at $8,000.
Hunter Valley NSW breeder Brad Fraser paid $7,200 for Clydevale Davinci Fabulous, VG 85 milking over 50 litres daily on her 1st lact and $6,300 for the VG 2 year old Clydevale Dylan East.
South Australian breeders R & B Walmsley purchased the fine uddered 2 year old Clydevale Lambda Sunstar, a daughter of the Bolton Sundae, EX 95 cow at $7,200. Woodlawn Holsteins, Finley, NSW selected Clydevale Dylan Idonia, VG 87 at $6,000.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report the following details –32 Cows av $4,776; 13 Joined heifers av $3,962; 15 Unjoined Heifers av $4,753; 1 Bull at $4,000; 61 Holsteins av $4,587; 1 embryo package $600 per embryo and 62 lots gross $282,150.
