Saputo announces step-up to $9.10/kg milk solids in southern regions

Saputo Dairy Australia has announced a step-up for the 2025-26 season of $0.15 per kgMS for suppliers in the Northern region, South-West Victoria and South Australia and $0.20 per kgMS for suppliers in Gippsland and Tasmania.

This step-up applies to suppliers who have, or elect to, enter into an exclusive Milk Supply Agreement as published on SDA’s website.

With this adjustment, SDA’s weighted average milk price is $9.00 – $9.10 per kgMS for exclusive supply in the Southern region (being Gippsland, South-West Victoria, South Australia, the Northern region and Tasmania).

Kate Ryan, Director of Milk Supply and Planning, said SDA had listened to our suppliers’ valuable feedback since releasing our opening weighted average milk price.

“We remain committed to offering a competitive milk price for our loyal supplier base and this early step-up reflects a considered position based on market conditions. As always, we will continue to review our milk prices throughout the season,” she said.

The milk prices quoted above are a weighted average across SDA’s supply base. Milk prices achieved at individual farm level will vary based on specific milk supply circumstances and a variety of factors on farm.
