The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) is proud to announce that the State’s best online market place for buying and selling feed and fodder is now live.
TasFodder (www.tasfodder.com.au) was officially launched by Jeremy Rockliff, Minister for Primary Industries and Water, at Meander today.
Conceived by the TFGA and supported by a State Government grant of $44,000, the site was designed and constructed by Tasmanian design studio S.Group.
“TasFodder users can create a free account to post ads for feed and fodder that is surplus to their requirements, or to access details of goods for sale,’’ TFGA President Wayne Johnston said.
“This is a significant step forward in the management of the limited fodder resources that we find ourselves confronted with this year.”
The TFGA also endorses the very worthwhile social welfare initiatives announced by the State Government today.
“Clearly these are focussed on dealing with the very real issue of emotional stress caused by this very difficult season,’’ Mr Johnston said.
“We look forward to working closely with the Government, RAW and Rural Business Tasmania (RBT) to ensure not only positive outcomes in dealing with the emotional stressors, but equally the physical challenges that this season has presented us.”
