BonnydaleTHE confidence in the beef industry was on show again when buyers pushed prices to a new national record of $24,000 for a Black Simmental bull at the Bonnydale on-property bull sale at Bridgetown.

Vendors flocked from all around Australia for the 20th Annual on Property Bull Sale held 8th February.

Top price was $24,000 with an average of $6,521. Topped price bull Lot 3 – went to Wombramurra Black Simmental Stud – Andrew & Trudy Chapman.

With Lot 12 going to Peter and Toni Rauchle from Springside Simmentals Stud.

Lot 2 & 9 went to a repeat buyer from New South Wales. The comments from vendors was the line-up of bulls were so even, they had trouble selecting bulls and as a consequence the prices were from $3,800 to $9,000.
