Steady, but heated competition from restockers, feedlotters, meat buyers and commission buyers from across the eastern states has stimulated this upward trend for Angus and Angus cross cattle in the market place

A top quality yarding at the annual Jeogla and Wallamumbi steer sale 17 Feb resulted in strong competition from NSW and Queensland lotfeeders, pushing prices to a record top of $1730 for heavy Angus steers, more than double the top price of $860 at the 2014 sale.
