VFF will continue to expose the absurdity of PETA and other animal activists’ claims.

PETA has gone too far in using the image of a beaten woman and fake mutilated lamb to campaign against wool, insulting thousands of Australian farmers and their families.

“It’s insulting that PETA would portray wool farming as an act of violence, let alone be linked to the abuse of women,” Victorian Farmers Federation Livestock President Ian Feldtmann said.

“I was sickened to see PETA claiming its image of a ‘beat up’ woman and bloodied lamb represented what happens on our farms.”

PETA’s campaign video stars reality TV personality and model Joanna Krupa, who declared the campaign portrays her as: “a woman that’s been abused. Having my face look like this (bruised and bloodied), like I’ve been beat up, and this poor little sheep in my hands that dies because a wool farmer abuser sheared it death, skinned it alive, beaten it, cut it open and it looks like it’s so real and it’s really what they go through”.

Mr Feldtmann said every Australian, not just farmers, should be disgusted that PETA would go to such insulting and reckless extremes to sell their vegan agenda to the world.

“This campaign shows just how extreme, irrelevant and out of touch with reality PETA has become.”

Mr Feldtmann said the VFF would continue to expose the absurdity of PETA and other animal activists’ claims.
