Angus steers sell to 338c/kg in Queensland markets

Angus-2-6Quality Angus cross cattle were in strong supply across major QLD yardings over the last week with demand and prices to match.

Burnett Livestock and Realty’s meatworks and store sale in QLD held on 31 March saw a firm market with Angus cross weaner steers making $903 (338c/kg). READ MORE

A total of 4515 head of cattle were consigned at Roma’s Store sale 5 Apr. Angus cross steers, 313kg sold to $1091 (348c/kg) and Angus cross heifers, 243kg sold to $842 (346c/kg). READ MORE

Agents Boyd O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 625 cattle at Moreton sale 5 Apr.  Values remained firm due to the good quality yarding of veal and yearlings. Feeders were easier as were trade.  The export market was easier. Overall yarding quality was good. Angus x pasture fed steers, 587kg sold for $1656 (282.2c/kg). READ MORE
