Black Simmental cross steers have claimed first and second in the JBS Australia RNA Paddock to Palate overall winner.
The Santa Gertrudis/Angus/Black Simmental steers were entered by Rob and Kelly Lamoureux, winning the Ken Crotty OAM Trophy and the overall award.
The winning team scored 617.35 points and the runner-up 605.78 points.
Rob and Kelly entered the two pens in the 70 day grain fed section of the competition which encompassed feedlot, carcass and eating quality.
First and second placing overall have never been won by the same entrant.
Clients of Wombramurra Black Simmentals, the couple also one champion pen in the carcass section and reserve champion individual carcass.
