Keilaglen Holstein dispersal tops at $6300

Dairy-sale--11A very large crowd of interested Dairymen were at the Warrnambool Selling Centre for the first stage Complete Dispersal Sale of Keilaglen Holsteins of Martin and Bernadene Glennen.

Sale top of $6300 was paid by the partnership of Tom Osborne of Orbost and Gavin Broad of Lockington for the 3 year old cow Jet Star Asterix Carly, GP 84 (1st last).

This outstanding uddered young cow is the dam of the current No. 1 Poll bull in AI in Australia, she is also Red carrier and had a PI of 115.

Next top price of $6000 was paid by Munden Farms of Warragul for the correct young 2 year old Paringa Destry Araya, GP 84 (1st lact), her 3rd dam is the $ Million Red cow Apple.

These buyers also selected Eclipse Jotan Rachel – Red, also from the Apple family at $3500 and the 12th gen. EX & VG cow Wellstrand Bolton Georgia 2nd VG 87 at $3200.

Many Breeders were loud in praise of the 1st milking Doorman to be sold in the Country, Keilaglen Doorman Fife bred from the famous Plushanski Faith family, she sold at $4500 to G & L Hibberd of Cooriemungle Holsteins, Timboon.

The same buyers also selected Keilaglen Snowfever Shower a GP 83 heifer from the Glen Drummond Showers at $3200 and Hullabaloo Mascalese Sonnett from the Kindara Sonia family also at $3200.

Top selling Jersey at $3000 was Mikandan Vanahlems Petal 2198, EX selling to O & C Barry of Alvie.

Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services and Brian O’Halloran & Co report buyers were from all parts of Western Victoria and Gippsland for a total clearance.
