The future of agriculture, and the opportunities associated with feeding a global population of nine billion by 2050, relies on the adoption of new technologies, business systems and industry wide investment and innovation.
This will be the focus of the AgFutures – Innovation and Investment Conference to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on 22-23 November 2016, which will see primary producers, researchers, policy makers from the business community from across Australia and internationally converge on Brisbane.
Internationally-renowned researchers and innovators will demonstrate the latest agri-tech developments and their on-farm applications from digital and data platforms, to robotics, satellites, and bio-technologies.
With investment within the agriculture sector also being a headline issue, experts from the business and investment community will also discuss emerging trends, business opportunities and capital models.
This will include a presentation from the Queensland Investment Corporation and its recent $400 million investment in the North Australian Pastoral Company.
