At the SELX November Store Cattle Sale the male buyers in the crowd were obviously out to impress the W.A.G.S. with a Christmas gift of some cattle.
The market was dearer than the previous month in all categories, allowing for quality and condition
Cows and calves topped at $2,475 for second calf Angus cows with Angus calves 2 to 3 months & redepastured, A/c A. & J. Pastoral. Agstock was the agent & they have topped this category for the three sales thus far.
Numbers were limited to 829 cattle sold with the abundance of feed meaning owners need turners. Steers topped out at $1,320 to average $1,057. Heifers sold to $1,450 and averaged $1,055.
As far as Store Cattle at SELX go it is jingle bells time, so see you in 2017.
