Heavy steers and bullocks in short supply

selx-store-cattle-25-nov The sale at SELX at Yass lifted in numbers with agents yarding 1,144 head of cattle.

Quality improved on last week’s sale, with most of the buyers present competing in a firm to slightly dearer market.

The best cows made 250cpk and averaged 222cpk. With a short supply of heavy steers and bullocks saw prices lift 6 cents, with top steers making $2,241.

Light store steers and heifers also sold well, with 260kg steers making up to 420cpk and heifers of the same weight making 365cpk.
