Rangan Charolais tops at $15,000 and averages $5970

Rangan-charolaisMore than 100 people attended the Rangan Charolais sale in Victoria’s north east held on March 8 when a top price of $15,000 was achieved.

In total 42 sold out of the 44 Charolais offered at auction, averaging $5,970, grossing $250,750.

Five extra animals sold after auction averaging $5,654, total gross $265,750.

The sale received strong support from registered Charolais breeders. Lot 1, JC Lannister topped the sale selling for $15,000 to Roderick Binny of Glenlea Charolais.

David and Judy Gray, Huon Charolais purchased Lot 13, Rangan Ashwood F56 L84, Bernie Howlett purchased Lot 5, Rangan Ledger L97 and Lot 31, Rangan Performer was purchased by Dane Perczyk.

The Cook family was happy with the support of commercial producer’s with Lot 2, Rangan Lachie L20 selling for $10,000.
