The mutton market sold to a dearer trend with light mutton lifting up to $15 at SELX Yass on March 29.
Numbers lifted to 10,000 including 3,600 XBL. Quality was again mixed, with more pens of better finished crossbred lambs penned.
Most of the usual buyers competed in a market that sold $10 to $15 dearer across most grades. Quality in the XB Lamb market was very mixed and prices sold up to $10 dearer.
Competition again came from local orders and feedlotters.
The mutton market sold to a dearer trend with light mutton lifting up to $15. Merino Wethers topped at $150 with most selling $106-$138. Merino Ewes sold to stronger demand with the lighter end lifting $12.
