The face-to-face workshop will include theory components as well as several hands-on demonstrations that will allow landholders to put into practice a number of things they have learnt.
Landholders throughout the Western region have the opportunity to increase their knowledge in a number of important areas through an on-farm biosecurity and sheep disease workshops.
The workshop, organised in partnership with Sheep Connect NSW, will be delivered in Brewarrina on 9 May.
Several industry experts will cover topics including biosecurity on your property, seasonal sheep health issues, disease investigations – who to notify, how to collect information and ensuring your own safety, a precautionary approach to purchasing livestock and a National Livestock Identification System update.

Western Local Land Services Team Leader – Agriculture, Gemma Turnbull believes the workshop provides great value for landholders.
“Whether landholders have many years of experience running an enterprise or are looking to develop their skills and knowledge, this workshop will cover a number of important areas that all landholders will benefit being informed about,” Ms Turnbull said.
“Not only will landholders have the opportunity to hear from experts across a number of different areas, but they will also be able to share their own ideas and experiences which can be just as valuable.
“By and large landholders find our workshops highly valuable and enjoyable and we are expecting the same from these.”
The workshop is on Tuesday, 9 May and will commence at 10 am at the “Tarrion” woolshed, Brewarrina. The registration for this workshop is due Friday, 5 May.
