Stage one of the Wattletop Angus dispersal topped at $38,000 twice in a bidding frenzy among sale barn at Guyra and on-line buyers.
AuctionsPlus interfaced the Wattletop Angus Complete Female Herd Dispersal – Stage 1. This was a huge day for the Wattletop team, especially for vendors Lock Rogers and Jess MacDougall.
The catalogue had almost 3,000 views with 134 registered bidders logging into the sale with another 189 guests.
AuctionsPlus had bidding activity on 255 lots out of the 259 lots offered on sale day, and successfully purchased 36 lots.
The top priced females, Lot 14 – Wattletop J464 and Lot 23 – Wattletop Barunah E295 both sold for $38,000.
The top price lot sold to an online bidder was Lot 186 – Wattletop Usual H449, selling $11,000.
This week numbers decreased by 944 head to total 10,526 head, of which 356 were stud cattle.
The Speriby North Angus Bull Sale was also interfaced via AuctionsPlus this week offering 80 Angus bulls.
This sale had almost 2,000 catalogue views online along with 20 registered bidders logging into the sale with another 48 guest viewers.
AuctionsPlus successfully bid on 26 individual lots and purchased 1 lot online which will be staying within NSW.
The Dangerfield Santa Infused Advantage Sale was an online only sale with 702 head offered over 9 lots consisting of steers and heifers. The sale had a 100% clearance rate with 22 registered bidders and 15 guest viewers.
The top priced line of weaner steers weighed 260kg and made 429c/kg or $1,115. Feeder steers weighing 465.9kg made 327c/kg or $1,524.
A line of unjoined heifers weighing 370kg made 325c/kg or $1,203. Well done to all vendors.
Commercial cattle this week saw a total clearance rate of 62%. Hopefully this rate increases over the weekend with lots of post-sale negotiations happening over this time, so if you missed out, get on the box and see what was passed in and give the agent a call.
A stand out line of 5-6-year-old cows and calves made $2,940 from Kangaloon, Southern Tablelands NSW. These Onslow blood cows are unjoined and are ready to join to the bull of choice, along with sappy 146kg Pine Creek Angus calves at foot. Well done to the vendors ‘Reme Skerl’ for such a great result.
A line of proven breeders made top dollar this week with a line of 7-year-old Angus cows and calves that made $2,540 from Book Book, NSW.
These Hazeldean Angus cows have solid 141kg calves at foot sired by Ireland Angus bulls with the cows also being rejoined back to Ireland Angus bulls. Well done to ‘Jenty Park’ on such a great result.
PTIC females were in high supply with the top line of heifers hailing from Inverell, NSW that made $2,380. These rising two year olds are supported by Wattletop Angus bloodlines and are PTIC to Doorkey Wagyu bulls.
PTIC cows made top dollar at $2,120 from Tarana, NSW. This line of 4-6-year-old of Angus cows are PTIC to Onslow Angus bulls, well done to ‘Emu Creek Partnership’ on a great result.

Large numbers hailed from Queensland this week with several lines of steers all making over 400c/kg. The top line from QLD was a line of 6-9-month-old Droughtmaster cross steers that weigh 258.5kg live.
These steers made 433c/kg or $1,120 and hail from Moura, QLD. Well done to ‘CI & JE Underwood’ on such a top result. Another top line of Sangus/Charbray steers from Crows Nest, QLD made 425c/kg or $1,045. These 7-11-month-old steers weigh 245.8kg live. Well done to ‘P & R Gleeson’ on a great result.

Bald Blair Angus had several lines of commercial females offered in this week’s Eastern States Sale. The top price for heifers under 250kg was a line of these Bald Blair females. 8-10-month-old weighing 243.9kg live that made 627c/kg or $1,530. Speckle Park/Angus F1 weaned heifers made top dollar with vendor ‘Anne Knoblanche’ having several small lots listed. All heifers sold are 11-12 months in age and weigh 301.2kg live. These F1 heifers made 564.4c/kg live or $1,700 and are located in Cudal, NSW.
Wagyu/Angus mixed sex weaners made 520.8c/kg live or $1,160. These weaners are 9-14 months in age and weigh 222.7kg live and are located in Moss Vale, NSW. Well done to ‘Eagle Rock Pastoral Co’ on a top result.
