The medium and heavy trade weights were firm to $6 dearer on the better quality lambs and ranged from $136 to $165/head at SELX Yass this week.
Lamb numbers eased and the quality was better in the trade and heavy runs while there were still plenty of light store lambs offered. A larger group of buyers operated in a dearer market.
Light restocking lambs sold from $114 to $126/head with more weight in the store lambs.
Heavy lambs were firm to $3 dearer, making from $163 to $176, and heavy lambs topped at $197/head. Most averaged from 630c to 670c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers were back and quality mixed. Prices were similar. Medium weight ewes sold from $97 to $140/head. Heavy crossbred ewes reached $207.60 and Merino wethers reached $171.20/head.
