Total listings on AuctionsPlus increased to total 10,694 head, with a national clearance of 61 %.
Queensland listed a total of 4,549 head, and received 59% clearance at auction, while New South Wales producers listed 4,827 head for a 66 % clearance. Bidding was quiet in Victoria, with 48 % clearance for the 686 head listed, while South Australia had a 58% clearance rate and 552 head listed. Over in the west, Western Australia listed a total of 80 head, and found an 85% clearance rate.
PTIC Females numbers were strong in this weeks listings, boosted specifically by a complete herd dispersal of 700 breeding females from MA & CR Packer, Roma, QLD.
PTIC heifers sold to a top of $2,530 with an impressive $1,925 average, up significantly from last week.
This top price went to a line of 28 Angus heifers from ‘Connanmurra’ Bethanga, VIC. Young PTIC cow prices didn’t disappoint either, receiving a $2,094 average and a whopping $2,860 top. This price went to a line of 41 Angus cows with their second calf in the oven.
Congratulations to the vendors ‘Riverview Wallah & Co’ from Boorowa, NSW. Proven breeders were out in force in this weeks listings, selling to a top of $2,490 to an average of $1,595.
This went to a line of 6 to 8 year old APR Angus cows hailing from ‘Drewdale Angus’ Lockington, VIC. In other breeds, two lines of 6 year old Hereford cows from ‘Calvary Pastoral Co’ Delegate, NSW sold for an average of $1,930. A line of 7 to 8 year old Shorthorns from ‘Yullundry Pastoral Co’ also sold for $1,930.

This top price went to a line of Angus cows with Wagyu calves at foot from DJ & RM Ferris, Falconer, NSW. Proven breeders sold to a top of $2,800, with a $2,010 average.
This top went to a line of 65 Angus and Angus cross cows from Warrawong Pastoral Co, Caroona, NSW. Looking to other breeds, a line of 8 to 10 year old mixed Limousin, Hereford and Charolais cross cows from ‘Mereweather Pastoral Co’ Gloucester, NSW sold for $1,840. Further north, two lines of Brahman and Brahman cross cows from ‘Glenaras Pastoral Co’ Ilfracombe, QLD made $1,740.
In Seedstock this week a total of 28 head were offered, with stock coming from Alice Springs, NT, Beaudesert & Grantham, QLD and Capertee, NSW.
Demand for Droughtmaster bulls was strong with 8 out of the 10 bulls listed from the Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries, Alice Springs, NT selling at auction. The sale received a top price of $4,100, recoded on three lots.
